Everything begins with a piece of stone. At first, it is shapeless, heavy, and silent. Yet within it, the final form is already hidden. The creation process of a marble jewel at mARTable was born. is a slow, almost ritual-like journey: from raw marble to a small, refined object that carries light and touch.
Choosing the stone
Each piece begins with selecting the marble.
I prefer Greek marble — because it carries character, history, and a certain brightness.
Every slab is different: some with grey veins, others with soft whiteness, or unpredictable patterns.
It’s like choosing your canvas before you begin to paint.
Cutting & initial shaping
From the large slab, a small piece is cut, destined to become jewelry.
Here begins the sculptural stage: with tools, sanding, and careful refinement, the marble starts to take form.
At this stage, the stone resists — it requires patience, the right pressure, and sensitivity.
Every strike, every smoothening, is a step toward delicacy.
Light & touch
As the marble begins to smooth, its natural glow emerges. It’s the moment the stone “opens” — revealing its veins, its depth, and its translucency. From there on, the process becomes almost meditative: fine sanding, cleaning, touching. Light becomes the guide, showing where a little more care is needed.
The final assembly
When the piece reaches its perfect form, the materials that transform it into jewelry are added — cord, metal elements, or details from another natural material.
Everything remains simple; the marble must speak first.
The result is a piece of jewelry with essence, weight, and presence.
From creation to connection
